Creating Backgrounds for Animation
If you've ever struggled with creating backgrounds or just wanted to know what goes into making them, then this guide is for you. I briefly talk about my philosophy and influences when it comes to creating a background before diving deep with a live demonstration. It includes commentary where I take you through my process, step by step and share various tips and tricks I've learned through out my career as an animator.

Basic Overview:
I talk about my personal philosophy to approaching background design.
I explain why I don’t see anime-style backgrounds as an relevant source of inspiration.
I talk about the cartoons that directly influenced my approach to designing backgrounds.
Using an example, I break down the elements that contribute to the look and style of backgrounds I want to create.
I discuss my personal goals when it comes to creating stylized backgrounds that don’t necessarily take inspiration from real life.
Live Demo:
I provide commentary over pre-recorded video of myself creating a background from scratch.
